"Don’t think too much on race day. Just believe in yourself and in your training. Go and enjoy the run," said Rahul Airan, a marathoner
While participants prepare for marathons throughout the year, the final month is when you need to put in all your efforts such that by the end of the month, you feel confident that you can complete your run injury-free. Rahul Airan, a marathoner and founder of North Kolkata Runners (NKR), who will be seen in action at Tata Steel Kolkata 25K on December 18, said that long-distance running is not just about running, it’s a lifestyle. This is the last week for hard training with regards to tempo runs, interval training, and long slow distance. This week you have to increase the mileage by 20 per cent along with a thumb rule of 80 per cent for long distances, that is run at least once for 20 kms (80 per cent of 25kms) to make yourself ready for race day.The intensity of the run is tougher than week one and gradually increasing your mileage by 15-20 per cent during tempo runs, interval training, and long slow distance runs, will help to increase your endurance. “Remember to hydrate and consume electrolytes while running.Follow this plan and get ‘runners’ high’ at the end of the event,” Rahul said.

Strider has struggled with the long ball in his 2025 return from a prolonged elbow injury, surrendering 1.68 HR/9 to lefties like the switch-hitting Happ will be. Further, 11 of Strider's 18 home runs have come at Truist Park, which is MLB's 12th-best park for dongs.Leiter has surrendered just 0.95 HR/9, but that's been due to a lucky homer-to-flyball ratio (9.5%) that is well below the league average (11.2%). Globe Life Park is also much kinder to left-handed sticks like Turang than righties, who hit the fewest home runs in baseball at the venue.Utilizing our MLB home run projections as a guiding light, here are some MLB home run props bets that look appealing via the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.FanDuel Research's MLB player prop projections expect 0.18 median home runs from Happ, so we'd have expected to see him closer to +507 for a big fly.

We are pleased to announce the call for LCLS Proposals for Run 25. This Run will offer capabilities on the soft X-ray instruments using the beam from the new LCLS-II superconducting high repetition rate accelerator.
For Run 25, the superconducting accelerator is expected to be operated up to a nominal 33 kHz. Detailed performance parameters will be subject to lessons learned during commissioning, and so proposals should be adaptable to a range of likely performance levels. The copper accelerator will continue to operate up to 120 Hz for the hard X-ray instruments, providing vertical polarization and up to 20-25 keV X-rays in the fundamental, as well as rapid tuning / scanning capability using the variable gap system. This undulator will provide beam to the suite of hard X-ray instruments (XCS, MFX, CXI & MEC). In Run 25, the XPP instrument will not be available as it is undergoing a rebuild for the LCLS-II-HE upgrade.TMO: The Time-resolved Atomic, Molecular and Optical Science instrument (TMO) was developed to study the dynamics of isolated quantum systems using charged particle spectroscopy, pump/probe methodologies, and/or nonlinear X-ray interactions. The TMO instrument will continue to be available for User experiments in Run 25 providing the opportunity to make use of the superconducting LCLS-II accelerator. At the first interaction point (IP1) we will offer multiple standard configurations for Run 25: the first configuration features the magnetic bottle electron time-of-flight spectrometer (MBES), the second configuration features the energy- and angle- resolving electron spectrometer (MRCO).

The right-hander has been a launching pad in same-handed matchups, as Berrios coughs up a .240 ISO, .498 SLG, 42.4% fly-ball rate, and a whopping 1.89 home runs per nine innings (fourth-most in MLB) to right-handed hitters.Since July 1, Walker sports a .316 BA, .612 SLG, 41.9% fly-ball rate, and an 86.5% medium-to-hard hit rate versus righties on the road. He belted 8 home runs in that 98 at-bat span, so I'll back him to go long at +400 odds tonight.Polanco, meanwhile, touts a .528 SLG when hitting from the left side of the plate at home. He owns a .650 SLG and just a 13.6% strikeout rate in the split over the last month. With +520 odds available, Polanco is my favorite target in today's home run market.

Pounding the ball in Madden NFL 25 is a great offensive strategy thanks to the all-new precision modifier.Another important aspect of the three-headed ground strategy is the ability to run the ball outside. Once you find a defense committing too many defenders to the middle, call a play like a toss and get to the edge. This will be most effective with a back that boasts a speed (SPD) rating of 93 or greater. Once you take the handoff from the QB, that's where all the fun starts. Backs can unleash an arsenal of more than 30 moves in Madden NFL 25.These moves are limited to elite players with a 90+ rating in a specific category. For example, players with a 90+ stiff arm rating can use a precision stiff arm to really knock the defense back on its heels. Precision moves and the new Run Free system add a whole new element to Madden NFL 25.Order today and celebrate the 25th anniversary of Madden NFL.

Garion Thorne details his top home run props for Tuesday's slate, including bets for Manny Machado and Michael Busch.
The left-handed first baseman is basically a platoon hitter, but he’s quite good at it, slashing .270/.350/.524 with a .254 ISO and a 143 wRC+ within the split. Busch has managed 24 of his 26 long balls of right-handed pitching so far in 2025. He’ll be looking for home run No.In layman’s terms, Machado remains an All-Star caliber hitter. Meanwhile, Littell is far from an All-Star caliber pitcher. No one has conceded more opponent home runs than Littell in 2025, after the right-hander gave up his 31st, 32nd, 33rd and 34th long balls of the campaign in last week’s outing versus the Blue Jays.Littell should fare slightly better at Petco Park than he has at the batter-friendly Great American “Small” Park, yet he’s still surrendered 2.02 home runs per nine to opposing RHBs for the season as a whole.Garion Thorne details his top home run props for Tuesday’s slate, including bets for Manny Machado and Michael Busch.

For a first time it's silly.. bit even still for seasoned runners I don't see the need to ever go to 30k in training for a half. I'd max put at like 25k.. also having said that I waych Philly on YouTube that is a 2hr 25 marsthon runner and she barely goes past 35k.I couldn't complete the last long run (which was ~22 km, so already past half marathon distance) due to a minor injury (nothing changed in the plan although it's supposed to be adaptive, but that's another story) and I'm finding a 25 km long run for this Saturday. This guy is not a serious marathon runner it is his first marathon.. I stand by my point it is stupid to run 25-30k in preparation for your first marathon. If this is 3 weeks out I would expect that’s it’s your longest run. You will likely begin tapering next week. But no, it’s not insane to run an easy 25km to prep for a hard 21.2km.
